Girls Will Be Girls

We really have to keep an eye on Rylie, because she is very in to makeup and looking pretty. She was powdering her arm pits yesterday with my powder brush and telling her dad how pretty her arm pits were. Then this morning when I was busy, she sifted through my purse and found my lip gloss. She thought it looked very beautiful and I just prayed that God will give us wisdom as we raise two girls!

New Addition to Our Family

No, we are not pregnant, but we did get a new (to us) mini van. Craig calls it an SUV (Sports Utility Van) because he has not come to terms with the fact that he actually owns a mini van. I love it and I am reminded by everyone that I have said for many years, "I will never ever own a mini van." God provided us with a reliable car and worked out all of the details for us to get it when we did!!!

Baby Ella's Dedication

At Faith Community Bible we dedicate our children to the Lord at an early age. There were about 10 kids that were dedicated on Sunday, June 29th. What we are saying is that we are dedicated to living our lives for the Lord and raising Ella and teaching her about who Christ is and how He can be a part of her life. Also, the church dedicates themselves to helping us on this journey by encouraging us, praying for us and modeling good parenting in their own families. Although this was one of the hottest days we have had this summer (It was 103 degrees outside), it was very special and encouraging to know our church family is backing us up.

Ode to My Aunts and Uncles

Biographies by Rylie Dayton

I am only two years old and I am lucky enough to have all of my aunts and uncles living in Boise. Not only will I be shaped a lot by my friends as I grow older, but also by my family. I would like to introduce you to a few characters in my life, that influence me towards the Lord and in a positive way (most of the time)!!!

This is my Uncle Brian and I swimming together in a big windstorm. Uncle B always lets me type on his lap top (even if I mess it up) and plays dollhouse with me (he will never admit it).

Next we have my Aunt Becca, my mom's favorite sister and my friend. She takes me to the park, to McDonald's, and listens to my never ending stories.

Now my daddy has some brothers and sisters also. My Aunt Lori is a hoot and she always teases me, keeps me safe and gave me my two favorite cousins- Jack and Sam.

Uncle Randy is crazy and he always lets me try new things with him-water slides, four wheeling, golf cart rides and boating. I have to watch out for him because he tickles.

Aunt Jamie is always putting others first and doing things for people! Finally she did something for herself and she traveled all the way to Vienna yesterday. She took Flat Rylie with her, so I will get to go all of the places she is going. I will keep you updated on our travels.

Uncle Matt is also away, working at a camp on the Oregon Coast. He is probably the goofiest guy I know and he made me dinner one night with a milkshake for dessert (It took me an hour to eat it, because I was scared it was yucky).

Last but not least, my Aunt Hever (Heather), who is Tachelle's mommy and one of my coffee providers at Starbucks (ok, so I only drink water in a cup with a lid).

I love all of you so much and I am lucky to have you in my life! I can't wait to see what you will teach me next!!!!
