Clean Heart

October has been a fun month, and a meaningful month in our lives (especially in Rylie's little heart)! It was Tuesday night and Rylie had been telling us for the past three days that she wasn't ready to go to heaven. She said she wasn't ready because she hadn't asked Jesus to take away her sins yet (I want to say thank you to all of her Sunday School teachers, who have taught her so much!) So we talked to her a little bit about what that meant and she continued to do Bible study. As we were praying that night she was laying on her bed and she turned away from me and said, "Dear Jesus, please take away my sins. Amen!" Then she turned with the brightest smile and said "Mom, I can go to heaven now!!!!" We are so excited that Rylie realizes that she is a sinner and that Jesus is the only one who can save her. She may not understand all that there is to know about Jesus and what He can do for her, but she is sure of one thing and that is where she will be when she dies. Thank you Lord for her tender heart! Please pray for her as she learns more about who Jesus is in her life and for us as we raise her to love Him.

Sisters till the End

Rylie is fascinated by how big Ella is getting and all of her milestones that she has hit. She is finally sitting up now on her own and she is up on all fours. We were just praying that Rylie would start crawling and finally she did at 9 months. Now after having a crawler, walker and runner, we are praying that Ella will stay in one spot as long as possible. But my favorite moments to watch are when Ella rolls over and Rylie runs around the room cheering and screaming "Mom, did you see that Ella just rolled over" as though it were the 1st time and not the 987th time! In the picture Rylie is coaching Ella as she practices sitting up. I can just hear Ella saying, "Just let me do it."

Popcorn Ball

One of my sweet boys that I tutor gave Rylie her first popcorn ball. She ate the entire ball in about 5 minutes and was asking for another one!!! Maybe Rylie does like sweet things...
