Post it or Forget it!

The new fashion statement this fall are the ever so stylish sock gloves, which go with almost any outfit!

Rylie has made a few hilarious comments this week and done some silly things, so I thought I better post them before I forget.

I was sad about something and I was talking to Craig on my cell phone. Rylie came in and got really worried about me, so we talked about it after I hung up. I told her that sometimes when we are sad we talk to people but we can also talk to Jesus about it. She turned to me in a surprised voice and said, "Mom, you can call Jesus on your cell phone???"

When asked why she didn't talk to someone recently she replied with, " I didn't talk to them because I am just so shy."

Last night we hung out with our friends Shaanti and Cole. Cole is going to have a new little brother in December and we were discussing it on our way to their house. Rylie told me that she wants a new little brother. She was already planning for me to play with Ella and for her to play with her new brother. I said that I would have to be pregnant to give her a new baby brother. So she turned to me and said, "Mom, could you get pregnant tomorrow, so that I can have a new baby brother?"

Rylie spent the night on my parents floor last night and she sometimes rolls around. My mom woke up in a panic when she couldn't find Rylie on the floor next to her. Finally after a minute, she could hear her and realized she had completely rolled under the bed and had to pull her out by her feet.

Rub a Dub Dub

Ella is in the tub. She was too big for the baby tub and the sink, so I found her this cute ducky tub at Target!

Silly Sick Sisters Sleeping, Sort of...

So 3/4 of our family was sick this weekend and the other 1/4 was gone hunting. All of us survived, but with not much to show for it except for piles of Kleenex and sopping wet camo. On Friday night, I made a quick run to Walmart. We bought medicine, juice, cough drops etc. and I was starred at by several shoppers. What is so wrong with shopping at 2:30 in the morning with my 3 year old and my 6 month old??? Rylie slept with me to keep me company and just couldn't figure out why I wouldn't want to play dolls with her at 4:00 in the morning. Also, Rylie would go in and out of sickness based on the activities that were coming up. She wanted to go to church and Bible study on Sunday, so she suddenly felt better and then when she wanted to watch more t.v. she told me she wasn't feeling very well. She did manage to play a little on her own when she wasn't busy wiping her nose on her shirt. YUCK!!!!! One of her favorite games is called baby in a manger. She found a yellow tin from Ella's room and stuck a little baby in, for her baby in a manger and pushed the tin around in the stroller. She is a very cute and silly even when she is sick. God is trying to root out my selfishness and show me how to serve my family even when it is no fun!!!

My Little Monkey is 3!!!!

So, Sunday, September 14th was Rylie's 3rd Birthday and she partied all weekend! On Friday, Hannah, Gabe and Abigail Eagy with the help of their mom of course threw Rylie a little party at their house with donuts, a princess balloon and a superstar microphone. She has been using it to communicate with us for the last 4 days! What a fun time with little friends! Then on Saturday she received a new doll and accessories from Mimi. She loves anything that is little, so she has been playing picnic with the little lunch pail. On Sunday she wore her "new, bigger shoes" to her "new big kid class" at church!!! Then we took sucker cupcakes to Bible Study for dinner and fellowship. She didn't actually eat the cupcakes, because she doesn't like sweet things, but she loved the suckers. Finally, she had her friend party on Monday with all of her "monkey" friends! They made monkey picture frames, played Barrel of Monkeys and had caramel milkshakes! I feel like she already acts older now that she is 3, that is until she is flailing on the ground mid tantrum. My prayer for her is that she will learn how to love others more than herself and that she will come to know Jesus when her little heart is ready!

Here are three things that I love about Rylie:
1. Her interest in Jesus and the way she always sings and praises Him!
2. The way she makes Ella and everyone around her laugh with her adorable sense of humor!
3. The way she pays attention to detail and loves the little things in life.

Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Thunder Thighs

I can say that about her only because she is 6 months old tomorrow and her thighs get stuck in the Bumbo. Ella tried her first few bites of cereal with the help of her older sister. She kept spitting it all over and Rylie kept shoveling it in. I think that Rylie gave up when she got a little bit on her and didn't want to be "sticky" anymore. Ella doesn't sit still and stay clean like her babies do.

Rolie Polie Olie

That is what Rylie and I call Ella as she rolls around the room, with her red cheeks smashed up against furniture and slobber dripping from her lips. Our little girl is rolling over and I can't beleive it! Ella is a little over 5 months and she adores Rylie and everything that she does. Lately, Rylie has been playing with her nonstop and making her laugh hysterically. I can't wait to see these two sweet sisters grow up together and become friends.

Thursday Morning Bible Study

Come one, come all to a new study called "The Bible for Babies" led by Rylie Joy. This morning while I was working on my devotions, Rylie decided that she was going to lead Ella in an early morning Bible study. Her daddy has been reading the Bible with her before bed and they call it Bible study. Rylie wanted to make sure that Ella heard that Jesus had died on the cross for her sin too. I think Ella is actually listening, but I don't know if she is quite old enough to believe.
